Captains, Training & Deliveries

Move the boat, learn its systems or spend time aboard with experienced help. Marine PRO arranges captain services around your vessel and the assignment, with preparation and technical follow-up handled by the same team.

The right help at the helm.

What we can help with

From a better docking day to a longer passage.

Some owners need a single trip. Others want time to build confidence on their own boat. We start with what you want to accomplish.

Checking helm equipment before departure

Local captain services

Marina moves, yard transfers, owner outings and survey or sea-trial operation by arrangement. We confirm the vessel, people aboard and work involved before assigning a captain.

Training on your boat

Docking, close-quarters handling, controls and systems familiarization tailored to your experience. Practice focuses on the maneuvers and equipment you actually use.

Regional & longer deliveries

Passage planning, crew coordination and destination handoff, with the route and daily schedule suited to the boat’s condition and operating range.

Transport coordination

Vessel movements and receiving arrangements around road transport, including coordination with the transporter and yard for loading or unloading.

How we handle the work

Prepare the boat and the people before departure.

  1. Define the assignment

Confirm departure, destination, dates, who will be aboard and the help you need. Share known faults and any recent work.

  2. Review readiness

Vessel condition, captain credentials and applicable insurance requirements are reviewed for the assignment. Repairs or further checks are identified before committing to departure.

  3. Agree on the plan

Route, fuel, stops, crew and expected expenses are discussed together. Weather and operating conditions remain part of the decision throughout the trip.

  4. Complete the handoff

The receiving contact gets the boat, keys and relevant records, with arrival condition and any service needs communicated clearly.

Planning your service

A schedule that respects the boat and the conditions.

We plan around your dates, but a departure or arrival time cannot override weather, vessel condition or safe operation. Changes are communicated as the assignment develops.

Delivery planning includes the expected costs beyond captain time, such as crew, fuel, dockage and return travel. We confirm the basis of the estimate and how additional expenses will be handled.

New to the boat?

A familiarization session can connect handling practice with an explanation of the boat’s equipment and maintenance needs.
