About Marine PRO
Marine PRO took shape when Scott and Evan met after approaching the same problem from opposite sides of the marine industry.
Everything your boat needs. One call.
Scott came from yacht management through Sarasota Yacht Management. He had seen how difficult it was to remain accountable for a boat when the people performing the work operated separately from the people responsible for its overall condition.
Evan came from technical marine service through Eagle Marine Repairs. He understood what technicians needed to diagnose problems, complete substantial work, and deliver a better service experience. He had also seen how good technical work could become disconnected when the service company received limited history, unclear priorities, or no larger plan for the vessel.
They had different backgrounds, but they shared the same conclusion: both sides of the industry could work better.
Management needed stronger technical capability and more control over execution. Service needed better context, communication, planning, and follow-through.
Marine PRO is what happened when those two perspectives came together.
The people behind Marine PRO

Managing Director

Director of Service Operations
From the management side, the responsibility was clear. Know the boat, understand the owner’s plans, keep track of its condition, and make sure important needs were addressed.
The difficulty came after a problem was identified.
A manager could recognize that a system required attention and still depend on an unrelated service company to diagnose it, prepare an estimate, obtain parts, schedule the work, return to the boat, and verify the result. Every handoff created another opportunity for information to be lost or the work to stall. The manager remained accountable to the owner without having meaningful control over the people or schedule required to finish the job.
From the service side, the problem began before the technician arrived.
A service company might receive a description of the immediate symptom but little information about when it began, what had already been attempted, which other systems were affected, or how the owner intended to use the boat. Access had to be arranged. Approvals could take time. One repair might uncover a related condition, but there was no one responsible for carrying that finding into the next decision.
The technician could complete the assigned task properly and still leave the owner with a boat whose larger needs remained disconnected.
Scott and Evan recognized that neither side could solve this by working harder inside the same fragmented model. Management and service needed to operate together.
Good service begins before the technician opens a panel or enters an engine room.
Management gives the service team context. It establishes what has changed, what work has already been completed, whether the condition is new or recurring, and how the problem affects the owner’s plans. It also keeps photographs, service records, approvals, access information, and open work connected to the same vessel.
That information helps the technician begin in the right place.
When additional conditions are discovered, management provides a clear route back to the owner. Questions can be answered, priorities can be confirmed, and changes in scope can be addressed without allowing the job to disappear between companies.
After the work is completed, the result becomes part of the boat’s continuing history. The system can be monitored during future checks, related maintenance can be planned, and the next technician does not have to begin without context.
This management discipline also influences work for direct service clients. The boat does not have to be enrolled in a management program for Marine PRO to document the concern, organize the scope, communicate changes, and carry the approved work through testing and completion.
Explore yacht managementManagement is only as effective as its ability to turn observations into completed work.
A manager may know that something has changed, but a technician must determine why it changed and what a responsible repair requires. Direct technical capability gives Marine PRO a clearer path from systems checks and reported symptoms to diagnosis, repair, installation, and verification.
It also improves the decisions made around the boat.
Maintenance planning can reflect what technicians are seeing inside the systems. Recurring failures can be evaluated as patterns instead of isolated service calls. Equipment recommendations can account for the vessel’s existing electrical capacity, controls, networks, structure, and intended use. Findings made during repairs can be carried into the boat’s larger care plan.
For management clients, this means fewer problems disappear into vendor handoffs. The people monitoring the boat and the people repairing it can work from the same information.
For the service team, it means the job arrives with a better understanding of the vessel and a clearer definition of the owner’s priorities.
Explore service & repairMarine PRO grew from Sarasota Yacht Management and the technical experience and service leadership Evan brought from Eagle Marine Repairs.
Scott and Evan set out to build a company in which management and service would improve one another. Neither side would be treated as an add-on, and neither would exist simply to generate work for the other.
The operation expanded around that idea.
Marine technicians gave the management team a direct path into mechanical, electrical, electronics, climate, plumbing, control-system, and installation work. Management gave the service team better vessel history, planning, communication, and owner access.
Vessel care, diving, captain support, and project oversight connected more of the work required to keep a boat current. The service yard at Anna Maria Island Marina added the access needed for bottom work, running gear, structural repair, repowers, and projects that could not be completed properly at the dock.
Some work still requires manufacturer involvement, authorized dealers, fabricators, or other qualified specialists. Marine PRO brings those resources into the project when needed while keeping their work connected to the larger needs of the boat.

Marine PRO is a yacht-management company and a marine-service company.
An owner who needs one repair, installation, haulout, or bottom job does not have to place the boat under management. Direct service clients receive the same technical attention, documentation, communication, and project oversight behind our managed fleet.
An owner who hires Marine PRO for management receives more than a schedule of recurring visits and a list of outside referrals. The management team is supported by technicians, captains, vessel-care professionals, divers, yard access, and the ability to carry substantial work forward.
Each side of Marine PRO has its own purpose.
Service solves technical problems, completes maintenance, installs equipment, and improves the vessel. Management keeps the boat understood over time, connects decisions, plans what comes next, and keeps the operation aligned with the owner’s priorities.
Together, they create something neither side could provide as effectively on its own.
Scott and Evan did not come together because they believed every marine repair could be made simple or predictable.
Boats contain concealed systems, aging equipment, previous repairs, difficult access, corrosion, and dependencies that may not become clear until work begins. Parts availability, weather, manufacturer requirements, and new findings can affect the original plan.
Their shared belief was that these realities should be managed better.
The owner should know what has been found, what it means, what is recommended, and what requires approval. Technicians should have the information and support needed to perform the work properly. Managers should remain involved after the first phone call. Responsibility should not disappear when a job crosses from one person, system, or location to another.
That is the standard Marine PRO continues to build around.
Some owners come to Marine PRO because they want consistent management and a team that understands the boat throughout the year.
Others come because an engine will not run, an electrical system needs to be rebuilt, new equipment must be installed, or the boat requires yard work.
Both are equally important parts of the company.
Management makes the service operation more informed and more connected. Technical service gives management the capability to carry responsibility beyond observation and coordination.
The result is a company built to understand the whole boat and capable of acting on what it finds.
Everything your boat needs. One call.
